Tuesday, September 14, 2021 was an exciting afternoon at Impact | Salish Sea Elementary! Together with RAVE Foundation (the official charitable arm of Seattle Sounders FC), we gathered all our scholars and kicked off the building of two new community soccer fields in the heart of NewHolly – a culturally rich, diverse, and thriving Seattle Housing Authority development – where I|SSE lives. The community fields are a block away from the school and will be available for scholar use.
Former Sounders player and current brand ambassador Brad Evans was on hand to celebrate with us and he was an absolute hit with our scholars! After playing a few games with a few of our very impressive scholars (we think we have some future soccer stars on our hands!), Brad wrapped it up with a promise that all I|SSE scholars will receive a Sounders soccer ball.
